We'd like to invite you on the Adventure Race - Ferrino Extreme Marathon 2009, which will take place in Ukrainian Karpaty mountains (center of race will be in the Rakhiv, en.wikipedia.org, from April, 27 till May, 3. Ukrainian Karpaty (or Carpathians) is beautiful & wild nook of Central Europe! Maximum altitude of Karpaty is 2061m (m. Goverla). Our race will touch some of highest parts of Karpaty. Distance for Expedition Class is about 370 km, with time limit 100 hours. Distance of race is hard & very challenging. Some of participants described the previous year distance in next words: "... This is such a race, which probably John Howard liked or some other conservatives of AR..." (Igor Blachut, Team 360, Poland) Teams from 4 members (gender mixed) (no support team) would overcome 370 km throughout the spectacular terrains of Karpaty. This year distance cover the most attractive pearls of Karpaty: a bit of: Chernogora and Svidovets, and even a bit of Gorgany and Marmorosy. Condition of race will differ from day to day. Participants will travel between middle spring with light green leafs and singing of birds, to early spring with snowdrops fields, and late winter with snow & even light frosts on high parts of mountains. Sometimes will rains & mist, maybe snowing, and Carpathian sun will a real award for everyone! Main disciplines: mountain trek (100 km), mountain bike (250 km), rafting on catamarans (20 km), special tasks with the fixed ropes. Start fee: 100€ (registr. till March,15)//150€ (till April,15) //200€ (after April,15). We also glad to inform you that Ferrino Extreme Marathon is part of AR Euroseries www.areuroseries.com. Päris lahe võistlus tundub. Liiga kiiresti tuleb see aprilli lõpp meile. Rääkisin ka selle tüübiga paar päeva tagasi.
